The post Game of Thrones Season 7 Finale appeared first on TVShowVirals.com.
This post contains spoilers from the Season 7 finale. The “Dragon Pit council” in this season’s finale was conceived with one idea in mind: for Jon Snow to bring back a wight and prove to all and sundry the truth of the danger beyond the Wall. But showing off a wight wasn’t enough. And after a long tense stand off, it turned out Dany’s Hand was invaluable, as Tyrion convinces Cersei to join the war.
Quite a few fans pointed out last week how harebrained the entire endeavor north of the Wall was. So harebrained in fact, one wonders whether or not Tyrion really meant for Snow & Co to return successfully, or if this was his quiet way of removing a growing distraction. Either way, it no longer matters. Jon and company arrived back, thanks to Dany, with the wight, and proved to everyone — even Tyrion — that they exist.
But that wasn’t enough. Cersei was certainly flustered by the truth staring her in the face. But she was only going into this war if she was assured of having the upperhand once they came out the other side. With Jon keeping his promise to bend the knee to Daenerys as soon as his knees worked again, that was not in the cards.
As far as Cersei saw it, she was giving up the Lannister army, and Jaime, to go fight something that would simply leave her more shorthanded when they got back to what she views as “the real war at hand.” Not good enough.
But just as everything seemed to be lost, Tyrion stepped up. After all the bumbling and failed plans, he decided to listen to Dany, and proved himself worthy as her Hand of the Queen. Instead of doing nothing, he followed Cersei out of the Dragon Pit and faced her down in her chambers, knowing she could easily have him murdered.
Not only did Tyrion’s negotiation instincts come in handy here, as he argued Cersei into a corner, but his drinking did too. Cersei who loves alcohol as much as he does, was not drinking. Combine that with a thoughtless hand-on-stomach moment, and Tyrion had the lever he needed to convince Cersei to agree to join the fight.
Making sure the next generation of Lannisters would have a world to survive in.
Looks like drinking and knowing things is still a viable way to live in Westeros. Someone pour that man a goblet of wine. He earned it.

Unless you live on a remote desert island (in which case you probably wouldn’t be reading this), you know the world’s most famous country-princess-turned-pop-star-turned-dark-queen, Taylor Swift, released a new single for the first time in three years last night, Aug. 24. The song “Look What You Made Me Do” is a noticeably dark departure from the upbeat pop anthems that we’re used to seeing from the wholesome star, but it bops. Naturally, the experts on Twitter just HAD to evaluate the singer’s latest musical endeavor, and, while doing so, some particularly savvy fans have noticed major similarities between Taylor Swift and character Arya Stark. Of course, as a result, jokes about Taylor Swift and Arya have consumed my timeline and, TBH, if there is one thing that could make Taylor Swift single release day better, this is it.
Most of the fans picked up on one line in Tay’s song where she sings “I’ve got a list of names and yours is in red, underlined,” and immediately compared Taylor’s list to Arya’s hit list. Some people took guesses as to who might be on Taylor’s list, some people suggested Arya might kill Ed Sheeran’s character with Taylor Swift’s face, some are lobbying for the bop to be Arya’s theme song, and others think Taylor is more of a Cersei, LOL. One thing’s for sure, though, laugh all you want, but I wouldn’t wanna be on either of their lists.
okay so what i’m getting from #LookWhatYouMadeMeDo is that taylor swift is now either arya stark or santa pic.twitter.com/iDlLElfLG6

Taylor Swift thinks she’s Arya Stark with this new bop but she’s actually Cersei
— Cady Lang (@cadylang) August 25, 2017
Honestly, the comparison does make sense; it’s not just the list, it’s an entire persona. Taylor’s new era attitude is all about saying goodbye to the former, weaker version of herself and welcoming a stronger, harder iteration into the world; indeed, if there’s one standout line from Taylor’s new song it’s, “I’m sorry, the old Taylor can’t come to the phone right now. Why? !” If that doesn’t give you intense flashbacks of Arya before she was a ruthless assassin, then I don’t know what will. All I know is this better not be Taylor’s way of hinting at a cameo because I swear I’m still complaining to anyone who’ll listen about Ed Sheeran’s guest spot.

Now that the penultimate season of Game Of Thrones has wrapped up, fans are left with around a year and a half before the final chapter.
We don’t know about you, but that has us looking back at the series as a whole.
For some reason (Kit Harington‘s butt), the finale made us think about all the many sex scenes we’ve seen and why some are so much better (Kit Harington’s butt) than others.
So we picked some of the scenes which stick out the most and rank them. So which were sweet as Dornish red and which left a taste in our mouths as bad as a bowl of brown?

Charlemont Rise in the Victorias Geelong features streets named Snow, Stannis, Greyjoy, Baelish and Tywin. But definitely no Lannister Road
Game of Thrones has sparked a battle at a Australian housing development where streets have been named after characters and locations from the high-rating television show.
The developer of Charlemont Rise at Geelong in Victoria said he had been forced to change the name of Lannaster Road because of the link to the incestuous Lannister siblings from Game of Thrones.
The name was knocked back by the developers next door because of the relationship between the Lannister brother and sister on the show, said the project manager, Gary Smith. I even changed the spelling to make it not as obvious.
Lannaster Road will henceforth be known as Precinct Road.
There have been no complaints about the other street names in the estate, more than a dozen of which were inspired by the show, Smith said. Among the names are Stannis, Winterfell, Greyjoy, Baelish and Tywin.
The most popular, however, is Snow Street named after the fan-favourite Jon Snow. The only big mistake weve made was naming a small street Snow Street. We thought Jon Snow was going to be dead but then he came back to life in the next season, Smith said. Hes everybodys favourite we shouldve given him a large avenue.
He said it was very hard to come up with new and original street names in a big city like Geelong. Youve got to think outside the box; we were getting so many names rejected. Thats why we went for Game of Thrones.

This past season of was notable for the scale of the battles staged, both in fire (Episode 4) and in ice (Episode 6.) It’s the latter that had everyone chattering though, both for the major twist that occurred (the death and reanimation of Viserion into an ice dragon) and for an oddly suspicious moment, when Jon Snow seemed to have miraculously survived what looked like certain death. But could that odd moment be a clue in Episode 6 and a sign of how the Night King will fall?
Let’s go over what happened with Jon. Dany arrived and landed with Drogon. The surviving members of the team and their trussed up wight all began to climb aboard. Jon was initially prevented from clambering up by attacking wights, leaving him the last to board the dragon rescue train.
Then, Viserion died. Jon’s response was to tell Dany (and the others) to go without him. Just before the dragon took off, everyone looked down and saw Jon being dragged down onto the ice by wights, which was already cracked and broken. Jon and several wights then disappeared under the waters.
This is where it gets weird now, so pay attention. The relevant moments starts at the 8-minute mark below.
Jon goes down. Jon *stays* down. The dragon takes off and the Night King misses. Then, sensing there are no more people who are alive, the Night King and his wights take off and all start to leave. In fact, Jon is under the water for so long, that there are no wights near him when he surfaces.
The wights have shuffled off so far a distance by the time Jon surfaces, in fact, that Uncle Benjen has time to ride in, get off his horse, converse with Jon, stick Jon on his horse, have Jon ride off and the wights get back to the spot.
That’s a long time for someone to hold their breath underwater under *normal* circumstances. Like, that’s probably a good 5 to 10 minutes, at least, that he was under. And these are frozen waters, with Jon wearing heavy sodden furs to pull him down into hypothermia’s embrace.
So what happened? Many fans have focused on Longclaw’s weird eye shot above. But we have another theory. What if Jon Snow is to ice as Daenerys Targaryen is to fire?
Let’s review how Dany deals with fire:
You’re damn right. She walks out of it, unharmed. What if Jon Snow has the opposite superpower? He walks out of ice, unharmed.
It’s right there in the name: Snow. It’s right there in the name of the weapon the Starks carried for centuries: ice. It would certainly be a hell of an ability for Jon to discover he has when facing an ice dragon-riding Night King, anyway.

Warning: This article contains spoilers for the latest Game of Thrones episode, “Beyond the Wall.”
Last night’s Game of Thrones episode completely shifted the series’ power dynamics with one of the show’s biggest closing scenes to date. Not only did Jon Snow pledge to bend the knee to Daenerys Targaryen after barely escaping his battle beyond the Wall, but Dany’s Veserion was turned into a Whitewalker after being tragically killed by the Night King’s spear.
To help mend your broken heart, below are some of the best memes from “Beyond the Wall.”

Sorry, fellow fans I have some bad news. No, no, it’s not about deaths this time. At least, not the death of a character; only the death of our hopes and dreams about Season 8. A new report about the final season’s filming date hints that Season 8 premiere date likely won’t be until September 2018.
I swear, if they end this season on a cliffhanger with more than a year to wait for any resolution, I will go full fire and blood on my TV.
Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, AKA Jaime Lannister, spilled the beans about the production date in an interview with Collider. He said,
You get the scripts a month before we start shooting, or six weeks, and then you know what’s going to happen that season. But, I don’t know what’s going to happen next season. We go back in October, so maybe in the next few weeks, we’ll get the scripts and I’ll find out. I’m very curious.
Filming generally takes about six months, a timeline that’s held true even in the most recent season, which only has seven episodes. So that means if filming starts in October, it won’t be done until around April of next year 2018. But that doesn’t count the three to four months of post-production, either. So it looks like the earliest we’re likely to see a completed Season 8 is September 2018.
And that’s a best-case scenario.
It’s also pretty likely that even if they can get it out earlier, the showrunners will decide to hold onto it because of the timing of awards season.
Because Season 7’s premiere was pushed back to July, it won’t be eligible for the Emmys until next year. And if Season 8 has just started airing when awards are (maybe, possibly, probably) handed out to Season 7, that would be just really confusing. The easy solution, is, of course, to just keep it in the can a little longer.
Winter is coming for our TVs.All fans must cry.
