The stars from HBO’s “Game of Thrones” hit the red carpet Sunday night in Hollywood to celebrate the Season 6 premiere.
Grey Worm (Jacob Anderson) was smiling, Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) and Ramsay Bolton (Iwan Rheon) were pals and everyone was dressed to impress at the TCL Chinese Theatre for the event. Kit Harington and George R.R. Martin were not in attendance.
“This season was a beast to make,” showrunner David Benioff told the crowd, per Entertainment Weekly. “We shot 680 hours of dailies, which translates to 3.7 million feet of film. We shot in five different countries — Northern Ireland, Spain, Croatia, Iceland and Canada. We employed 900 crew members in Belfast; 400 in Spain. We issued 140 script revisions. We two shot units a day for 22 weeks straight, three units a day for 10 weeks straight, four units for two weeks straight. And none of that would be possible without the greatest producing team on the planet.”
Attendees got to see the one-hour debut episode, titled “The Red Woman,” ahead of the the April 24 premiere.
