‘Game Of Thrones’ Will Air Its Longest Episode Ever In Season 7

The Season 7 debut of Game of Thrones is still weeks away, but fans have something to look forward to: the longest episodeever.

Theupcoming seasonof the hit HBO series will feature multiple episodes over 60 minutes, including a series record-breaker.

That episode is coming in around 90 minutes, showrunner David Benioff told Entertainment Weekly in an interview published Thursday. The season also includes the series shortest episode, which clocks in at 50 minutes, according to Benioff.

Previously, Season 6s finale, The Winds of Winter, stood as the seriesthe longest episode at 69 minutes.

Fan blog Watchers on the Wall shared a list of Season 7 episode run times Thursday. While there are only seven installments, they total about 7 hours and 20 minutes of viewing time.

As for whats to come, viewers have a Stark reunionto look forward to, Cerseis possible demiseand lots of people on fire. Season 8 will be the shows final season and Jon Snow actor Kit Harington is not ready to leave behind his sword.

Its a huge thing and its been very close to my heart, Harington told the Belfast Telegraph. Ill miss the family and coming back here, and even this costume and the fight scenes. The costumes and weaponry are incredible. I said from the start that I wanted the Long Claw sword but as the (shows) momentums grown, its become very expensive and will probably end up in a HBO museum. Hopefully theyll make me a replica.
